Relationship with God the Father

Relationship

Relationship

‘Living in faith’.
I have called myself a Believer with great passion. I minister to folk who need Coaching in areas of Parenting, Gifts, Talents, Career and Relationships.
Suffice to say I am a committed Christian and am often called upon for my prophetic words, prophetic songs and prayers for the sick.
But, after all these years I cannot say that I have a proper relationship with my Heavenly Father.
I go through the motions and get great Spiritual breakthroughs with Him. I meditate upon the Bible and can recite passages from proverbs and Psalms.
But after many years trying to know the Lord more clearly, I have concluded I have something of an ‘Orphan Spirit’.
I grew up a loner and lived as a single man for many years. Inevitably I took my loneliness to the workplace, and to the family and finally to the church..
To my surprise, when I became a Christian I witnessed many other orphans both in and out side the church.
The only cure I’ve found to this loneliness is through ‘Relationship’ This is the missing key to isolation; not only in the church but in the office, shop, family and fellowship.
The Relationship I am speaking of is of a continual stream of Father’s love.
Speaking to Him in our inner man, thanking Him, glad of His presence, help, encouragement and confidence – all being received by faith.
Continual communication with the Father in this way develops a strong and meaningful Prayer life.
The relationship that develops is as a father/mother relationship whereby we know He is with us and we can refer to Him continually.
No more an Orphan/son or Daughter.

Spring Cleaning the Mental Clutter

imgres-1If you are like me you’ll have Post It Notes clinging to every available space: at your desk, your computer and beyond. I’ve even found one such preditor clinging to my cheek bone which, when decifered, reminded me to remove the other Post It Note on the back of my wrist, telling me to buy some more Post It notes and sundry stationary whilst in Sainsbury’s.

These spontanious ideas and reminders that promise so much, serve only one purpose and that is to drain me of all mental peace and sanity. The clutter, of course, goes way beyond the office in ever increasing creativity. So much so you may suggest I invest in an electronic devise to remind me of just about anything the ‘Enemy of my Soul’ could possibly cause me to forget. But, I’m sorry, I JUST DON’T DO  ELECTRONIC DEVISES – Why not? Simple reason it would necessitate 4 or 5 Post It Notes just to remind me how to operate the ‘Darned thing! ……. Born out of time, I guess!

God has a treat in store for you!

gluten-free_coconut_flour_chocolate_cake_recipe_photo1

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

The truth though is that if you only keep those plans tucked away inside the pages of your Bible, or hidden in the book shelf, you can pretty much say good-bye to those plans. What a tragic waste of potential!

I have good news for you – “You can have your cake and eat it!” “And enjoy it!”

But first we have to get rid of some religious mind set’s that we Christians tend to wallow in, well I do at least! So what better way to expose the lies of the flesh and the Devil than to recite out loud the Truth!

To be spoken out loud five times each two times a day….

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil 4:13

“I press towards the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus,” (Phil 3:13)

“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, (Eph 2:6)

TheLord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27

The Benefits of Waiting on The Lord

cropped-images-1.jpg

“But those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

Effortless Progress…

Have you noticed there are people with all kinds of challenging situations going on in their lives and yet they are not dragged down to a lower level of fear. On the contrary, they seem to be positively soaring above their circumstances.

Could it be that they’ve learned to emulate the wisdom of the Eagle – soaring above the high places of world; connecting with the thermals that will take them even higher and higher! A place of effortless mastery.

It is from this place of dominance that the Eagle plummet’s from a great hight to pluck from the skies it’s unsuspecting Pray. In no time at all it’s all over!

So what can we learn from the Wisdom of the Eagles?

Your ‘Thermal’ is a place of authority and grace. It is clearly the place of your anointing and  Gifts. Your ‘Thermal’ could well be for Worship – songs flowing from your heart to the congregation. Your ‘Thermal’ could be for ‘Leadership – encouraging and provoking. Your “Thermal’ Could even be for ‘Finances’ ‘Prayer for Healing, ‘Prophetic Songs’ and for ‘Correction and Rebuke!’

No matter what your Gifting, In Christ you will soar like Wings as Eagles.

How to be Blessed in your Christian Journey

The Christian Life is a journey of greater and greater discovery and adventure- the journey of a Lifetime you could say. Here are some keys to help you on the way.
images
The Journey of a Lifetime

Jesus say’s “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life” (Scrip; John 14:6)

With so much competing for our attentions these days it is very easy to get our eyes off the purpose for our journey which is – to know Jesus more!

So, here are some Biblical ‘keys’ to help you on your way.

1. Be filled with the fresh oil of the Holy Spirit. Welcome Him, honour Him and follow Him.

2. Study The Map Book of Life – ‘The Holy Bible’. There you will find the quickest  and most effective route to reaching your Destination ‘In Christ’ Jesus.

3, Let go of where you’ve been and keep your eyes on where you are going.

4. Have your lights shining and your indicators clearly illuminating your direction, so that others know where you are going.

5. Let go of where you have been and embrace where you are now. Always ready to move on as and when The Holy Spirit directs.

6. Ensure your exhaust is removing toxic syptoms of stress etc.

7. Your Speed, not too fast so as not to enjoy the journey and not too slow so as to endanger others.

8. Regular maintenance and cleaning so as to shine and radiate Jesus.

Enjoy your Journey!

Seeing and Believing Your Christian Dreams

http://christianlifecoach-peterjfoster.org/free-trial-costs/

Is there a vision or a dream you are yet to fulfill; a passion that has not yet seen the light of day?

800px-Sunrise-Daytona-Beach-FLYou may say, “it’s just too difficult to even begin doing something positive with my idea. There’s always so much going on, how do I find time to work on my Dream? It’s just an idea anyway! And there’s plenty of ideas out there these days. Who in their right mind would take my idea on anyway? There’s no real substance to it – just wishful thinking!”

Yes, at this stage it is just wishful thinking. Every great idea has to start somewhere.

As a young man , living with my parents in a large urban sprawl in the UK I had a dream of living by the seaside. I saw myself surfing, having fun and running my own business and playing my guitar in restaurants and cafe’s. It was a dream so far from the reality of my life I might as well dreamed of being the first person on the Moon! But I was unperturbed. I would draw pictures and pictures of my future life and pin them on my bedroom wall. I saw, in my ‘minds-eye’ the small Devonshire community I would be living amongst. I saw the house I’d be living in and the office I’d be working from. In my minds-eye I was running a graphic design and print agency. I saw myself singing in local Restaurants, Pubs and Clubs. I would meditate upon my new life over and over again. In fact it became so real in my heart it just ‘had to’ come about!

A year or so later I was living the exact dream; and loving every minute of it! . But is this ‘Biblical’ you might ask? Or is it simply New Age? In the Bible The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you (Genesis 12) He had to see it by faith in his heart before he saw it by sight.

Again the Bible say;s “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he” (Prov 23:7) Question: Is this the missing key in your prayer life? If so, begin to seek the Lord for His plans and purpose for your life. Read again the exploits God’s people and marvel at what God did through them because they believed.

Do you have a Dream or Vision to Fulfil? Or if not, maybe you could ask Him.

Help I’m a Christian and I’m Stuck!

Firstly let me tell you, you are not alone!

Stuck!

                          “Help, I’m Stuck!”

As a Christian Life Coach I get numerous folk wanting to move forward in various aspects of their life, but find themselves Stuck!

They have plans to pursue new careers, to take up hobbies, fitness regimes or become more involved in their church, expressing the Gifts and Talents God has graced them with.

Their intentions are honourable; but meanwhile the Enemy of our soul is rubbing his hands in absolute glee to see God’s people paralysed by such inaction!

I should know; I’ve been there…

I did however discover that the solution to my ‘Stuck-ness!’ was not to dig around trying to undo all the strands leading to ‘Stuck-ness!’ but instead – to dig around in my own soul to find whether Jesus, The Word, is in control and that I am living my life through Him and Him and not Me! Now there’s a challenge!

The Bible put’s it this way –

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave His life for me.”  Galatians, 3:3

The Lord know’s exactly what He wants for each one of us. It is only through living by faith in Him that we know His perfect will and purpose for our lives.

Bottom line …. He’s not stuck and neither are we – In Him.

The True Value Of Talents & Gifts In The Christian Church

A ‘Talent’ was a measure of worth in New Testament times. Their intrinsic value was based upon the fact they were made of either Gold or Silver.

They were used to purchase goods and services, in the same way use coins today.

800px-Whydah-gold
As New Testament Believers we each have been given value and worth in our God given Gifts and Talent, as a means of ‘purchasing’ as it were, the Kingdom of Heaven. It takes time and money to Evangelise and to build churches and to train Leaders.

We must be diligent to seek out those who have a passion to train and mentor future leaders, Creative Artists, Singers, Financiers, Entrepreneurs and Ministries.

We need Talent Spotters and opportunities to train talent.

There is so much Gold in ‘them-there-Hills” (our churches and house groups) and it’s up to each one of us to Mine it and use it.

Please read Matthew 25:14

Using Your Spiritual Gifts

A Symphony of Praise!

Article from a teaching by Stewart Keiller; Pastor Bath City Church, UK

512px-Gaga_Symphony_Orchestra

Bringing Heaven to Earth is the very ministry of Jesus that releases the Kingdom of God.

As co-heirs of Jesus we are exhorted to stir up our Spiritual Gifts of God within us, (2 Timothy 1:6) and to step out in the authority we have been given.

The  power of the Cross has brought Heaven to Earth. Jesus now shares all authority and power with the church, and we the Church now release the very nature of God through the Spiritual gifts of Grace we share.

The emphasis is not so much on the power of the Gifts, but the authority and the Spiritual power that is given to us – ‘In His Name.’ And as we use our authority to the measure God has given us, so we release the very sound of Heaven. As a ‘Symphony of Praise’ with many instruments creating a diversity of sound we are united in gloryfying God – and united in relationship with one an an other.

It is the Holy Spirit who decides which Spiritual Gift we each are given. Our part is to present our bodies as living sacrifices; to hand over our minds to God and be willing to do His perfect will through the Spiritual Gifts He gives us.

God has a purpose for each one of us. It is only through an honest evaluation of our lives that we find our part in the Body of Christ and what God is doing throughout the World.

How To Promote a Successful Christian Ministry

photo: aimee daniells

photo: aimee daniells

When you’ve been blessed through a Christian Ministry, you just want to tell others about it; even Minister the very same thing. The word Ministry means ‘Giving people what you have been given.’

There are many Christians who have a creative streak – even Entrepreneurial – who would love to develop their talent and offer it as a full or part-time Ministry.
And why not? It is honoring to give people what has been given to you.

So how do you go about promoting your own Christian Ministry? Let me tell you how I have gone about it.

When I began my “Christian Life Coach” Ministry I prayed long and hard for an opportunity to present it to the Leadership of my church.

During that time the Lord took opportunity to ‘try my heart’ for any motives that were not of Him and for me to make it clear in my own mind what is the true Biblical basis for coaching within the Body of Christ.

When my opportunity came to present my Christian Ministry to the Leadership, it was as though the Lord had laid out a Red Carpet before me. Within a short time I had an enthusiastic thumbs-up!

But, it would have been wrong to expect the church to do all the promoting for me. I have a leading role in communicating the positive benefits of coaching through ‘Talks’, Seminars, Free Promotional offers and Inspirational articles.

Similarly it would have been wrong to confine my coaching ministry to my church only, but to think of reaching the wider church.

So how did I do it?

For the past 12 months I have been learning how to reach out to my potential Christian ‘market’ through Digital Media and conventional Media.
What follows is a brief summary of past, present and on-going marketing activity.

1. A Website presence is essential. Ensure you use ‘Key words’ in the title and text that people are searching for on ‘Google’. To discover what are the most popular words being searched for on your subject go to ‘Adwords Key Tool’.

2. Add a Blog to your website – either actually on your website or linked from your website to a social websites such as ‘WordPress’. This will help engage folk in your offering (as this, hopefully, is engaging you, my precious reader!)

3. Write about your subject from different angles and with different target markets in mind. So, for example you could write about those seeking Inner Healing; Relationship issues; Christian Gifts; Talents and career matters.

4. Again, ensure your Blog title is being well searched for by checking with ‘Adwords’ and then seeing how many ‘Google’ searches there are for your title and subject. If there is huge competition on Google you need to weigh up the chances of being seen

*5. Ensure your website is not only a static page because ‘Google’ will not rate it very highly (neither will the reader!). Include a number of pages with changing text. ‘Google’ like these more spontanious and continuously changing websites; another good reason for adding a Blog to your Website.

6. Social Media Marketing is a sometimes bewildering means of getting your message across – to potentially thousands of people. I personally like LinkedIn and Google+. They are fairly straight-forward and easy to understand. There are plenty of ‘How To…’ articles and You Tubes videos instructing you to become your own expert. Be patient and organized in your explorations and weigh carefully the potential benefits.

7. Please do not forget conventional marketing tools such as: Business Cards, Small A5 Leaflets, Letterhead paper, and small adverts in appropriate media. These do still attract attention! Even better. Seek an accomplished Designer to ‘hone’ your message to your potential target market.

8. More on general advertising: use sparingly and only with a ‘time-limited’ offer.

9. Meanwhile, make yourself accountability to a Coach, Church Leader or trusted friend with help keep you on-track with your promotional activities.

10. Practice ‘presenting’ your Christian Ministry to firstly yourself (in a mirror) then to others. Hone it down to it’s unique proposition. Focus on the benefits to the client and be sure you believe it yourself too!
