Relationship with God the Father

Relationship

Relationship

‘Living in faith’.
I have called myself a Believer with great passion. I minister to folk who need Coaching in areas of Parenting, Gifts, Talents, Career and Relationships.
Suffice to say I am a committed Christian and am often called upon for my prophetic words, prophetic songs and prayers for the sick.
But, after all these years I cannot say that I have a proper relationship with my Heavenly Father.
I go through the motions and get great Spiritual breakthroughs with Him. I meditate upon the Bible and can recite passages from proverbs and Psalms.
But after many years trying to know the Lord more clearly, I have concluded I have something of an ‘Orphan Spirit’.
I grew up a loner and lived as a single man for many years. Inevitably I took my loneliness to the workplace, and to the family and finally to the church..
To my surprise, when I became a Christian I witnessed many other orphans both in and out side the church.
The only cure I’ve found to this loneliness is through ‘Relationship’ This is the missing key to isolation; not only in the church but in the office, shop, family and fellowship.
The Relationship I am speaking of is of a continual stream of Father’s love.
Speaking to Him in our inner man, thanking Him, glad of His presence, help, encouragement and confidence – all being received by faith.
Continual communication with the Father in this way develops a strong and meaningful Prayer life.
The relationship that develops is as a father/mother relationship whereby we know He is with us and we can refer to Him continually.
No more an Orphan/son or Daughter.

“What Do You Want?”

The Key To Power is Desire!

If you don’t know what you want, you will probably end up either doing nothing or doing what others want you to do; which maybe ok, or not!

The Key to your Future BlessingsBy default our wants and needs will gravitate towards the easy option; for example, staying in that low paid job, Ministry, Church, Relationship etc,. even though we may be wanting more out of our relationship with the Lord.

What are we to do then in oder to fulfil that sense of purpose and destiny in our hearts?

On the one hand we don’t want to behave in a presumptuous manner , but on the other hand neither do we want to miss it!

In the Book of Mark: 10.51, Jesus asked His Disciples a simple question –  “What do you want me to do for you?  Until our desire’s come from the heart they have no power to fulfil our purpose.

Although Jesus would have known the answer to His own question, He needed His Disciples to speak out loud what they’d heard Him say. Similarly He’s waiting for us too!

“Passion!”

Spring Cleaning the Mental Clutter

imgres-1If you are like me you’ll have Post It Notes clinging to every available space: at your desk, your computer and beyond. I’ve even found one such preditor clinging to my cheek bone which, when decifered, reminded me to remove the other Post It Note on the back of my wrist, telling me to buy some more Post It notes and sundry stationary whilst in Sainsbury’s.

These spontanious ideas and reminders that promise so much, serve only one purpose and that is to drain me of all mental peace and sanity. The clutter, of course, goes way beyond the office in ever increasing creativity. So much so you may suggest I invest in an electronic devise to remind me of just about anything the ‘Enemy of my Soul’ could possibly cause me to forget. But, I’m sorry, I JUST DON’T DO  ELECTRONIC DEVISES – Why not? Simple reason it would necessitate 4 or 5 Post It Notes just to remind me how to operate the ‘Darned thing! ……. Born out of time, I guess!

Hidden with Christ.

The Key to Relationship with God.

images-2Many years ago I asked my Bank Manager if I could deposit a small collection of Gold Coins in to their Safe.

There was a small fee involved but well worth it compared to the cost of losing the collection.

I asked the man at the Bank how they hid treasured items, such as my small collection of coins. He began to reassure me that the coins would be perfectly safe in the care of the Bank, (not that I was in any way doubting him.) He continued to enlighten me as to how they store precious items in the Safe. Apparently what they do is to put the precious items into a locked drawer within the Safe – (be it jewelry, documents or whatever); which would itself be locked inside a drawer; all of which would be further protected in the bolted Safe.

Pretty safe I’d say! In fact just like your highly protected relationship with God the Father.

How to be Free From Christian Regrets

“… forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead…” Failure!

The Christian life is forever forward-looking. And yet so many of us are crippled by past hurts, disappointments and regrets.

Stuck!

The consequences of this dilema is that we are no longer able to fulfill the second part of this well-known Scripture: “… I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus..” (Philippians 3:14)

The ‘Prize’ is God’s call upon our life ‘In Christ Jesus’. It is a calling far higher than we would ever imagine! (Especially when so many of us are dealing with regrets, disappointments and failures).

And yet God can, and will, restore the wasted years and the missed opportunities. We only need to give Him our faith, based upon His promises, and then rest in Him.

Relationship with God

Fulness of Life

God did not leave Mankind Fatherless!

Just like you would not leave your own son or daughter without a father, neither would God.

In order, though, to have a relationship with God the Father we need to be completely without sin; which of course is impossible due to the effects of the ‘Fall and the Curse!

We have all sinned! God is Holy, and there is no sin in Him whatsoever.

In order to come into His presence we need to be without sin.

To rectify this situation God the Father provided a means by which, we, Mankind can be reconciled to God Himself.

What is required is the death of a Human Being as punishment for mans sin.

Not just any Human Being, but a Human without sin!

And God sent His ownly sin-less Son to become sin for us.

His name is Jesus, who willingly went to the Alter of Sacfifice, the Cross, to die for us on our behalf.

images-1On that Alter, all of Man’s sin came upon Him and He died, so that anyone who makes Him their Lord and Savour are forgiven by God and are welcomed into His presence.

This is how Relationship with God is restored.
