If we have faithfully stored up God’s Word within our heart’s we are able to quickly repel lies and deceptions of Satan. And rise up in rule and authority.

Relationship with God the Father

Relationship 

‘Living in faith’.
I have called myself a Believer with great passion. I minister to folk who need Coaching in areas of Parenting, Gifts, Talents, Career and Relationships.
Suffice to say I am a committed Christian and am often called upon for my prophetic words, prophetic songs and prayers for the sick.
But, after all these years I cannot say that I have a proper relationship with my Heavenly Father.
I go through the motions and get great Spiritual breakthroughs with Him. I meditate upon the Bible and can recite passages from proverbs and Psalms.
But after many years trying to know the Lord more clearly, I have concluded I have something of an ‘Orphan Spirit’.
I grew up a loner and lived as a single man for many years. Inevitably I took my loneliness to the workplace, and to the family and finally to the church..
To my surprise, when I became a Christian I witnessed many other orphans both in and out side the church.
The only cure I’ve found to this loneliness is through ‘Relationship’ This is the missing key to isolation; not only in the church but in the office, shop, family and fellowship.
The Relationship I am speaking of is of a continual stream of Father’s love.
Speaking to Him in our inner man, thanking Him, glad of His presence, help, encouragement and confidence – all being received by faith.
Continual communication with the Father in this way develops a strong and meaningful Prayer life.
The relationship that develops is as a father/mother relationship whereby we know He is with us and we can refer to Him continually.
No more an Orphan/son or Daughter.

How to be Blessed in your Christian Journey

The Christian Life is a journey of greater and greater discovery and adventure- the journey of a Lifetime you could say. Here are some keys to help you on the way.

The Journey of a Lifetime

Jesus say’s “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life” (Scrip; John 14:6)

With so much competing for our attentions these days it is very easy to get our eyes off the purpose for our journey which is – to know Jesus more!

So, here are some Biblical ‘keys’ to help you on your way.

1. Be filled with the fresh oil of the Holy Spirit. Welcome Him, honour Him and follow Him.

2. Study The Map Book of Life – ‘The Holy Bible’. There you will find the quickest  and most effective route to reaching your Destination ‘In Christ’ Jesus.

3, Let go of where you’ve been and keep your eyes on where you are going.

4. Have your lights shining and your indicators clearly illuminating your direction, so that others know where you are going.

5. Let go of where you have been and embrace where you are now. Always ready to move on as and when The Holy Spirit directs.

6. Ensure your exhaust is removing toxic syptoms of stress etc.

7. Your Speed, not too fast so as not to enjoy the journey and not too slow so as to endanger others.

8. Regular maintenance and cleaning so as to shine and radiate Jesus.

How to live the Abundant Christian Life

Abide in the Vine

God, from out of His abundance made us to expect abundance!

The abundant life God the Father bestowed upon His Son, Jesus the Christ, is now shared with those who believe. All we need do is to “Abide in the Vine”.

Jesus is the Vine. And as we dwell in Him, feast on Him and love Him, so we become like Him and partake of all the Blessings of the Abrahamic Covenant.

As sons and daughters of the Most High God we behave like Him, speak like Him and think like Him. In fact we become as He is in this world.

In Him we can do all things through Him who gives us strength.( Philippians 4:13)

But we must believe…

Prayer for Healing

“I know Jesus is alive. I believe in the Bible. God cannot lie.

God’s Word say’s that Jesus took my sickness on the Cross and He healed me. I now choose to take my healing by faith.

In Jesus name I will fight in prayer and in the Word of God until I am healed! Healing is the children’s bread and I take it now.

I command you Devil – get out of my life, my home, my family; and in Jesus’ name I defeat you.”

I live in victory until Jesus comes Amen”

Unbelief

 

Unbelief is a state of mind; a way of thinking; an attitude of heart. Although unbelief is powerful it can, however, be eroded by the Truth of God’s Word.

Unbelief is an inferior spiritual force that needs to be confronted head on! We read in the Book of Mathew 13: 58 that… “Jesus did not do any mighty works there because of their unbelief.” Jesus requires us to develop our own faith, a faith that is based upon His Words of faith.

His spirit lives in us and as we join our faith with His faith then the miracles take place. But we must believe!

How then do we develop this kind of faith, the kind of faith that believes for miracles when we speak the Word?

The Bible tells us that faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. In short, we renew our mind when we read, meditate upon and confess God’s Word.

For example you may like to speak out loud the following Scripture verses based upon His eternal faithfulness towards meeting your needs and prospering you in all that you turn your hands to.

“…I will hasten My Word to perform it.” Jer. 1:12b “ But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” Phil. 4:19 “Casting all your care upon Him; for he cares for you.” 1 Pet. 5:7

How to be Free From Christian Regrets

“… forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead…”

The Christian life is forever forward-looking. And yet so many of us are crippled by past hurts, disappointments and regrets.

Stuck!

The consequences of this dilema is that we are no longer able to fulfill the second part of this well-known Scripture: “… I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus..” (Philippians 3:14)

The ‘Prize’ is God’s call upon our life ‘In Christ Jesus’. It is a calling far higher than we would ever imagine! (Especially when so many of us are dealing with regrets, disappointments and failures).

And yet God can, and will, restore the wasted years and the missed opportunities. We only need to give Him our faith, based upon His promises, and then rest in Him.

Relationship with God

God did not leave Mankind Fatherless!

Just like you would not leave your own son or daughter without a father, neither would God.

In order, though, to have a relationship with God the Father we need to be completely without sin; which of course is impossible due to the effects of the ‘Fall and the Curse!

We have all sinned! God is Holy, and there is no sin in Him whatsoever.

In order to come into His presence we need to be without sin.

To rectify this situation God the Father provided a means by which, we, Mankind can be reconciled to God Himself.

What is required is the death of a Human Being as punishment for mans sin.

Not just any Human Being, but a Human without sin!

And God sent His ownly sin-less Son to become sin for us.

His name is Jesus, who willingly went to the Alter of Sacfifice, the Cross, to die for us on our behalf.

On that Alter, all of Man’s sin came upon Him and He died, so that anyone who makes Him their Lord and Savour are forgiven by God and are welcomed into His presence.

This is how Relationship with God is restored.

Fear of Man

Fear of Man will cripple God’s Plan for your life!

I have missed so many opportunities to witness to folk who are needy and in trouble; or to warn a friend who is clearly going in a wrong spiritual direction; or a neighbor struggling with family discipline; or even to speak up for Biblical Principles related to situations of moral rights. And even to simply radiate the love of God!

The trouble is I get so fearful of what people think of me I can barely communicate my Faith!

So how can it be that someone like myself: Born Again Christian, Church-Goer, truly passionate for the Lord, be so easily ashamed of Jesus?

I think the answer is that there is an injustice going on that say’s, in essence, that Born Again Believers are not really part of main stream Society – and therefore would not naturally want to affiliate with mainstream Culture. In other words, I’m weird because I’m not like them.

It’s amazing that I am happy to listen endlessly to their own particular ‘take on life’, about their philosophies, their New Age beliefs and their worldly wisdom. But mention anything to do with the Truth of the Word of God and…. silence!! Or worse, they will tell me it is only useful for allegorical tales and for something to hold on to as a crutch for weak-willed people.

Meanwhile, the terrible truth is that they are going to Hell! And that includes friends of mine, relatives and even some church-goers!

So, how can it be that someone like myself, so passionate for the Kingdom of Heaven, be so ashamed of Jesus? It’s as though there is an injustice that say’s it’s ok for unbelievers to say what they want and believe what they want, but if I dare mention anything to do with The Truth of God’s Word…Silence!

This is what I’m beginning to realise: It’s time to die to self and to live totally for Jesus; which can only be done by being ‘Hidden in Christ’ This is my protection from attacks, shaming and fear of man. ‘In Christ’ I am hidden in from mocking’s and rejection BECAUSE Jesus took it all on the Cross. So, the bottom line and the antidote for my protection is this:

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer I live but, but Christ Lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in Jesus!” Galatians 2: 20

It’s not about me but Jesus!

Christian Gifts

At this time of the year we celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus. Not that He needs to be born again every December; and neither do we need to be born again every December.

The Gift of Christmas

And yet Christmas is such a powerful reminder of God’s incredible love for us in sending His own Son to die for us, that we might, rightly, attach such great value and worth to the occasion. This is truly a Christian Gift.

By Grace we have been saved from the effects of the Curse and the Fall!

Now that is a fact worth celebrating, both at Christmas and any other time. So, why is it such Good News for mankind that God should send His only begotten Son into this ‘Fallen World?’ The answer is found in 1 John 3:8b –

“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil.”

Even though we may see Jesus the baby depicted on cards, gift wrapping paper and in countless performances around the World – this is the Jesus, that has destroyed the works of the Devil.

And all we need do is to confess His Name, the’ Name of Jesus’, and believe that He was born and died for our sin, and then the Devil’s work is finished in our life!

“God has a plan for you, to prosper you, to give you a hope and a future.”

With Wings As Eagles

If you are wondering what kind of plan God has for you, then let us go a little higher in our understanding. In fact let us go far higher in our understanding and dare to see our life from God’s point of view. Let us dare to dream in the truth of the Word of God for this is where the Eagles sore: free and high!

I believe God gave us the example of Eagles souring because this is the place of effortless momentum. A place of power, strength and success. And all the Eagle has done is to yield to the forces of nature already established in the Earth. The Eagle is taking advantage of air currents, atmospheric changes and prevailing winds.

Our first clue therefore to achieving an ‘over-coming’ life is to take advantage of the God-given power already available in the Spiritual atmosphere.

This is the place to be found in Christ Jesus. Father God, by faith in Christ Jesus, has already released to us all the Spiritual power we will ever need In Christ.

Jesus has connected us to the power of God the Word.

In Him we can do everything He has promised. We can drawer on His immense grace to prosper in everything we turn our hands to. For when our faith – as tiny as it may be – is fully invested in the enormity of God’s faith – through Jesus – then we will see the fulness of God’s power. He’ll get the job done. He’ll heal your body. He’ll set captives free from emotional hurts, depression and offence.

In fact, “I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.” Phi 4:13
