Question: Why Life Coaching in the Body of Christ..?

Because ‘Christian Life Coaching ‘build’s and maintains Motivation for the Journey!..

The Bible exhorts us to pursue Vision; for without Vision, God’s people perish!

Coaching is about growing & encouraging ‘momentum!’ Helping people learn, rather than telling them!

In the future, those who are not Coach’s will not be promoted. Why? Because Coaching is about ‘Growth & Vision.

So, it’s time to let go of those things behind and ‘press’ toward the Goal for the prize of God’s Calling on Our life.

God has a treat in store for you!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

The truth though is that if you only keep those plans tucked away inside the pages of your Bible, or hidden in the book shelf, you can pretty much say good-bye to those plans. What a tragic waste of potential!

I have good news for you – “You can have your cake and eat it!” “And enjoy it!”

But first we have to get rid of some religious mind set’s that we Christians tend to wallow in, well I do at least! So what better way to expose the lies of the flesh and the Devil than to recite out loud the Truth!

To be spoken out loud five times each two times a day….

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil 4:13

“I press towards the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus,” (Phil 3:13)

“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, (Eph 2:6)

TheLord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27

What is the Difference between a Christian Life Coach, Counsellor or Mentor?

400SnowFamilyChristian Life Coaching is about helping the Client get from where they are now to where they want to be expressed as a Goal. Then helping them take action to fulfil their Goal through patient questioning and active listening. Prayer and the application of faith through the Word of God is encouraged together with accountability in fulfilling tasks. A variety of ‘tools’ may be drawn on, such as the application of Mind Renewal, Forgiveness, Disappointment and Unresolved Hurts, as a means of helping Clients identify and achieve their defined Goals.

Counselling is a type of ‘talking therapy’ which involves a person discussing emotional difficulties and problems in a supportive and confidential environment. The Counselor does not give advise nor be judgemental, rather their role is to listen to the client with empathy
so as to help them understand their feelings and behavior Hopefully the client finds their own solutions to their problem.

Mentoring A Mentor is an accomplished and experienced professional/expert who has a desire to help, to guide and develop a junior or more advanced person.

The True Value Of Talents & Gifts In The Christian Church

A ‘Talent’ was a measure of worth in New Testament times. Their intrinsic value was based upon the fact they were made of either Gold or Silver.

They were used to purchase goods and services, in the same way use coins today.

As New Testament Believers we each have been given value and worth in our God given Gifts and Talent, as a means of ‘purchasing’ as it were, the Kingdom of Heaven. It takes time and money to Evangelise and to build churches and to train Leaders.

We must be diligent to seek out those who have a passion to train and mentor future leaders, Creative Artists, Singers, Financiers, Entrepreneurs and Ministries.

We need Talent Spotters and opportunities to train talent.

There is so much Gold in ‘them-there-Hills” (our churches and house groups) and it’s up to each one of us to Mine it and use it.

Please read Matthew 25:14

If you are currently in relationship, please don’t forget your First Love – from whom comes all love, graces and beauty! Enjoy….

Christian Gifts for Christmas

“And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshipped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: frankincense, and myrrh.” Matthew 2:11

Later, we see the Lord giving gifts to men:

“When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.”  Ephesians 4:8

Congratulations Christian! This Christmas you receive not only gifts from friends and family, but you receive gifts from the LORD!

These are the gifts of the Spirit, given to us at Salvation, according to the Father’s will – and to be used by us to bless others. And what a time to bless others!

During this season of good will let us make an inventory of our gifts and determine to use them to bless, comfort and encourage others.

In the same way as we receive gifts from family and friends let us remember to thank the Lord for His Gifts of love towards us, and to use them and put them to use.

It is only in the releasing of our God given Gifts and Talents that they multiply, for as we give, it shall be given to us.

The Father is all about ‘giving’ so that we might receive an abundance in return.

Give and receive. It is the way of the Christian Kingdom!

Using Your Spiritual Gifts

A Symphony of Praise!

Article from a teaching by Stewart Keiller; Pastor Bath City Church, UK

512px-Gaga_Symphony_Orchestra

Bringing Heaven to Earth is the very ministry of Jesus that releases the Kingdom of God.

As co-heirs of Jesus we are exhorted to stir up our Spiritual Gifts of God within us, (2 Timothy 1:6) and to step out in the authority we have been given.

The  power of the Cross has brought Heaven to Earth. Jesus now shares all authority and power with the church, and we the Church now release the very nature of God through the Spiritual gifts of Grace we share.

The emphasis is not so much on the power of the Gifts, but the authority and the Spiritual power that is given to us – ‘In His Name.’ And as we use our authority to the measure God has given us, so we release the very sound of Heaven. As a ‘Symphony of Praise’ with many instruments creating a diversity of sound we are united in gloryfying God – and united in relationship with one an an other.

It is the Holy Spirit who decides which Spiritual Gift we each are given. Our part is to present our bodies as living sacrifices; to hand over our minds to God and be willing to do His perfect will through the Spiritual Gifts He gives us.

God has a purpose for each one of us. It is only through an honest evaluation of our lives that we find our part in the Body of Christ and what God is doing throughout the World.

Christians got Talent

medium_4536543987

Our God-given Talents in the Kingdom is the currency needed to both purchase souls and to edify the Body of Christ.
When invested wisely they produce an abundant return.
When invested frivolously on say, entertaining the world – or even not investing at all – they loose their true value.

Our Talents are to be ‘honed’, protected, encouraged and used wisely for the furtherance of the Kingdom.

In the Parable of the Talents we see that Jesus rebuked the lazy servant for ‘hoarding’ the talents left by the master, which should have been invested for a profitable return. On the other hand Jesus honoured the servant who diligently invested his talents and produced an abundant return.

Although the Lord is talking in this parable about investing money (Talents being the currency of the day) it is true in these New Testament times that both money, talents and our gifts are to be spent wisely, so as to produce a bountiful return.

So how about taking stock now and making an inventory of your God-given talents and gifts? And seek the Lord as to how and where He wants them invested. Perhaps you’d like to consider the following questions:

1. What are you naturally gifted at (list them!)
2. What are you currently doing with them?
3. Are they being spent frivolously on entertaining the world, or invested wisely in reaching out to a lost world and edifying the Body of Christ?
4. Do you encourage others in their gifts and talents and how to use them?
5. Do you feel stuck and don’t know exactly what your gifts and talents are and what to do with them?
6. Are you in a church that don’t really need them?
7. Are you ready to review your investment strategy?

Now that you have begun to think more passionately about your investments, here are a few verses from the Bible to inspire you…

Romans 12:6 “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them….”

Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world…”

Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men,…”
