How to Receive Your Christian Miracle

From the Bible’s perspective, miracles are gracious and mighty works of God that display his unique power and dominion over all creation. They are “gracious” because God in his mercy chooses to reveal himself supernaturally in a way that displays his willingness to interact with mankind.

Rejoice!

Biblical miracles serve to authenticate God’s messengers. Some miracles demonstrate God’s salvation, others his judgment.

But right now you are probably wondering how to receive your miracle of healing or miracle of financial provision, etc. You may relate to my own experience of receiving a miracle below.

Testimony: When I became a Christian I began smoking cigarettes like I’d never smoked before. I was virtually chain-smoking. I did everything to quit smoking. I’d buy a pack if 20 cigarettes, smoke them one after the other than get so angry with myself I’d flush half the packet down the toilet. 30 minutes later, Id leave my Apartment and walk to the local ‘All Night’ Store and smoke cigarettes one after the other. I was frantic with shame, terribly un-healthy and fearful.

One night, again smoking one cigarette after the other I prayed for deliverance (for the 10th time that month) and right there in the quietness of night I suddenly received my miracle. In a moment I was free. Every thing went quiet and I knew I was delivered of nicotine addiction! Twenty years later I’m still totally free. Praise God.

I have no Spiritual formula other than to say that Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you. Just keep praying, seeking and expecting your miracle. It is on its’ way!

How to Reach Your Goal

The Bible talks much about achieving Goals. So does Life Coaching!

800px-StateLibQld_1_194039_Shot_for_goal_during_a_soccer_match_in_Brisbane,_ca._1937

Paul the Apostles Mission Statement was to “press towards the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Phil 3:13) In other words, Paul was committed to pursuing the goal of God’s purpose for his life. As Christians our Goal is the same. Our Goal is to achieve God’s call upon our lives; a goal that can only be achieved ‘In Christ Jesus’.

I don’t believe God would give us a Goal we’d find too easy to achieve in our human ability. God the Father is glorified through our faith in Jesus Christ alone to get the job done.

Only Jesus can achieve God’s call upon our life. So, what is the Goal you have to fulfil God’s purpose and plan for your life? Just think of the amount of people in your sphere of influence you could reach with the love of God. That’s not to put undue pressure on you. Indeed I know only too well how challenging this issue of reaching out to the unsaved can be. It’s Scary! And yet the disappointment of not sharing our faith is sometimes greater than if we had shared our faith!

So, here goes with a few timely Christmas Tips to help share your faith with unsaved friends, neighbours and family.

1. How about going Carol Singing; but go a little further in capitalising on the moment by sharing the Gospel to whoever may turn up – in a nice Christmassy sort of way.

2. Invite friends, associates, fellow co-workers to a local Christmas Celebration; one which brings a very clear message that Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of the Devil! (1 John 3:8) P.S. Anything to do with the Devil generally encourages discussion!

3. Invite your neighbours round for a mince pie and sherry. Try have a real conversation about how they’ve been recently: any problems, aches, pains or emotional struggles. Then ask them if they would like prayer for healing. If they’re not sure give them another sherry!

I hope you find these Christmas Tips encouraging. Meanwhile, any other Tips you can add to these would be appreciated, along with any Testimonies.

Healing the broken hearted

437px-Peder_Mønsted_-_A_woodland_stream

Please take time to Rest in His healing grace…

Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

This is Jesus speaking to our heart. He is telling us that He Himself has taken all the hurt, wounding, rejection on the Cross. He did it that we might find healing in His Love. – Love heals.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

This is only possible in Christ Jesus. He is in the Father, and the Father is in us.

Isaiah 53:4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we did esteem Him smitten by God and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And with His stripes we are healed.

In Christ we are healed.

Psalms 73:26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

The Bible calls us to meditate on His Word, in this way we find peace where there was once anxiety.

In short, we become as Jesus; one with His Life.

2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

“Leave the broken, irreversible past in God’s hands, and step out into the invincible future with Him.” ~ Oswald Chambers

Coming out of the Box

The Devil wants you in a Box! But God wants you out! Out of the Box!
Often, we may feel we’ve stepped out of the Box – but only with one foot!

The problem is we can so want to keep the things of the world, because we feel so comfortable!

The Kingdom of Heaven is within every Believer – wanting to be released! But the Devil wants us contained; locked up in our fear-based Boxes. But God wants us out!

In Mark 10:46 we see that blind Bartimaeus was in a Box. He was a Beggar and every one recognised him as such. Except that is for Jesus! In the story, the Bible tells us that Jesus goes with His Disciples to Jericho, with the intention of Jesus fulfilling His Destiny at the Cross. Jesus’ face was set like flint! But Bartimaeus, when he heard that it was Jesus approaching cried out: “Jesus, Son of David have mercy on me! Then many warned him to be quiet. But he cried out all the more.” In other words Bartimaeus began to step out of his own Box because he recognised the One who had the power to change his situation. The people cried: “Bartimaeus, don’t trouble the Master.” In other words they were telling him to get back into his Box! But, although Jesus had not planned to stop, He ordered that Bartimaeus should be brought to Him. Bartimaeus threw off his garment – that which had defined him as a Beggar, and in that moment he chose to ‘Step out of the Box.’

Jesus said: “What do you want?…Your faith has healed you.” From that moment Bartimaeaus joined Jesus on the road. He was free and healed and was determined he would not go back into that old box! He realised he had to trust the One who was calling him higher.

God is calling each one of us higher. He wants us to fulfil the potential calling on our lives. But we have to come out of our Boxes. Mark 7 talks about ‘Traditions of Men” which only serve to take away what the Word of God says. We have to stop our traditional thinking and bring the Power of God in to our circumstances

James 1: 5-8 talks about ‘Asking in faith. No doubting.’ Doubting will keep you in the Box.

If you need wisdom to get out of the Box, ask God to get you out. It’s time to examine your self. Do you want to make a change? Are you up for the fight? Don’t forget that Jesus is ever faithful. He is ever working on your behalf to set you free.

Christian Life Coaching

As a Life Coach…

“I work with Christians, passionate to see Gods calling and purpose for their lives fulfilled, and who want to express their gifts and talents profitably, and to see their own lives and the lives of others prosper for the Kingdom.”

Christian Life Coaching is about helping the client get from where they are now to where God wants them to be, expressed as a Goal.

Often involving letting go of any past restraints and dissapointments, the Client is encouraged to fulfill their God-given Goal through Spirit-lead questionning, active listening and agreed actions.

The Client is accountable to the Coach in taking actions to accomplish their set Goal, together with ‘feeding-back’ on progress made and, where necessary, commiting to further  actions towards achieving Goals.

A Coaching Scripture:

“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” 1  Peter 4:10

Definition of Christian Life Coaching

Christian Life Coaching is about helping others see themselves as God see’s them and doing what God see’s them doing – expressed as a Goal.

Often involving letting go of past disappointments, the Coach will encourage the Client to move forward to achieving the Goal by increasing their motivation and Christ confidence.

The process aims to inspire thoughts through patient questioning, active listening and prayerful reflection. Resultant thoughts are translated into motivation by the great benefits that can be achieved; thus making Transformation a real possibility.

SPIRIT – The Lord Inspires.

SOUL – The Soul meditates on it.

BODY – The Body outworks it.

Christian Life Coaching is about helping the Client get from where they are now to where they want to be – expressed as a Goal (or Destination)

Then helping them take action to achieve that goal by encouraging them and increasing their motivation and self-confidence.

The process aims to stimulate thought through patient questioning and active listening. Resultant thoughts are translated into motivation by the promise – and effective imagining – of the great benefits that can be achieved.

THOUGHTS + MOTIVATION + ACTION = RESULTS!

Surviving the Storms of Life

Before you make a move of faith; a change of direction, a new home, a new country – make sure you have heard from the Lord on the matter. Let that be your reason for making the move and not simply your own desire.

Storms of Life

Storms of Life

Here are some helpful tips to Surviving the Storms of Life and help get you to the other side!

 1. Don’t go it alone. You are going to need  help: someone to be accountable to – a Life Coach, a Mentor, a trusted friend. It is a lonely journey all on your own and you will be vulnerable to attack!

 2. Keep praying. The Enemy will be out to resist your plans.

 3. When the storms come, remember your initial inspiration to making a move of faith. If it was truly from the Lord, you will surely be tempted. BUT, don’t give up!

 4. Rebuke the storms! Command the wind to be still in Jesus’ Name! And keep declaring the Truth that you will reach the goal of your dream. Why? Because Jesus said you would!

 5. Remember you cannot have faith and fear working at the same time. There has to be a quality decision to serve only faith – without wavering!

 6. But, you might ask: “why does everything has to be so difficult? Why can’t we just cross over to the other side without resistance?”

 7. The answer to the above is that it is not so much the ‘crossing over to the other side’ that is the issue, but what  we need to become in the process. The Lord is looking for OVERCOMES for all Eternity!

Scripture Confessions

As a Born Again Christian your  heart is fertile ground for God’s Word – through Scripture confessions – to take root. When you plant the seed of God’s Word, by faith, in your heart you begin a process of ‘Seed time and Harvest’. (Genesis 8:22)

images-1

But there are conditions that must be met in order to see good fruit from your confessions of Scripture and planting.

1. Is there anything currently in your heart that has the potential to choke God’s Word?

For example, are you currently harbouring un-forgiveness, offence, bitterness or jealousy towards anyone? These will surely choke the Word of God and leave you disappointed and possibly confused!

2. Check again: how is your love level at the moment? Faith works in the environment of Love; and love is a decision that we must make – not based upon how we feel, nor how justified emotionally to being, say, offended. “…faith working through love`’. Ask Father God to create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you. (Ps 51)

3. Do you love and accept yourself? Unfortunately we can many times be our own most harsh critic. Whilst everyone else may have forgiven you (including Father God); if you do not forgive yourself you are in bondage to fear. “But perfect love drives out fear!”(1 Jn. 4:18).

4. “Faith works by love.” (Gal 5:6) Again, check your love levels. Grace is a gift of God in sending His only begotten Son to die for our sins. It cannot be earned. It is by Grace through faith in Christ Jesus that we are accepted, loved and blessed.

5. Do a thorough search for any ‘Religious spirit’ keeping you in bondage to fear! We cannot earn God’s favour with good works. Incredibly God still loves us when we sin; and that’s because the punishment for our sin came upon Jesus. We only need to believe it and embrace it. However, if we come out of our protection we are vulnerable to enemy attack – more often than not ‘Condemnation!’

 6. Religion will keep you in a ‘works’ mentality. Jesus Himself declared that ‘”It is finished”  just before He died on the Cross.(Jn. 19:30). We must remember that it was He that finished it and not us!

 7. So, now we rest in the Truth; “The Truth that makes us free”. (Jn. 8:32  )

Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life! (Jn. 14:6).

 8. “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” (Jn. 8:36)

Christian Coaching in the Word

medium_3475543391

It is not enough merely to hear a Bible teaching on say, “The joy of the Lord” and then profess a willingness to change and everything will be ok! Joy is a fruit of the Spirit and does not come about over night. What we need is a definite plan to take steps and apply Truth to our life.

Christian Life Coaching is the perfect process because it requires defined actions in pursuing the things of God and developing faith. Let me explain.

The heart of Life Coaching is to help drawer out of us what God has already placed in us. It is a process of interaction between the client and the Life Coach – with the Holy Spirit helping so as to bring about the desired transformation.

In the example of say “The joy of the Lord”, we know that the Bible tells us the truth shall make us free, which is a real comfort to us because, of course, we all want to be free! So, “The joy of the Lord” has been preached and we spend the rest of the day in a happy glow, excited about our future and all God has for us. But it doesn’t continue automatically!
In order to continue in the joy of the Lord we must count the cost and accept that it does not come without commitment. It is through faith and patience that we inherit the promises.

This is where Christian Life Coaching can be of great help in keeping us accountable in our commitment to joy, (or any other Grace for that matter.)
Barriers to entering into His joy would be explored together with a strategy for maintaining joy – even when the whole world is screaming fear and panic!

The joy of the Lord is a choice, made available by Grace, to the Believer. Life Coaching keeps us accountable to casting down imaginations that are contrary to the Truth of the Word, and resisting any distractions to walking in Truth.
By equipping us with strategies to maintaining victory and the courage to keep pressing towards the goal we find our motivation is increased together with improved self confidence.

We are now truly “pressing toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 3:14)

Christian Healing for CFS

Geoffrey Booth
I’d like to share with you where I’m at with my Christian Healing related to CFS, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or M.E.

Rather than dwell on the disease, I have ‘painted a picture’ in my heart of who I am according to what God says about me in His Word.

No, this is not New Age psycho-babble; but Scriptural. Please stick with me.

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success…” (Joshua 1:8)

The word ‘meditate’ involves imagining or dwelling in my heart inwardly. It is, in effect, visualising what God says about me is true: Who I am, What I can do, and How much He loves me. This is Hope!

The Bible tells me that: “For as he thinks in his heart so is he.” This word ‘thinks’ refers, again, to dwelling upon, visualising or imagining – by grace through faith in Christ Jesus.

I guess I could say it has taken years of imagining fears, hurts, and bitterness in my own life – maybe in the generations too (the effects of sin and the Fall) resulting in sickness and disease. It stands a good chance it will take time to change it.

But as the above Scripture tells me, as I do meditate (or imagine) in my heart upon what God says about me, then the ‘picture’ on the inside changes from sickness to prosperity. So that, from out of my heart-believing prosperity I will have good success on the outside. In other words, it’s an inside-out job; God’s life in; God’s life out!

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,” (Hebrews 11:1)

Hope refers, again, to dwelling upon inwardly: visualising or imagining. I am to cast down imaginations that do not conform to what God say’s about me and to replace them with His thoughts towards me: thoughts of peace: to give me a hope and a future.

It takes hope first for faith to work – faith working by love.

Meanwhile, I refuse evil imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. And, as the Bible says, my healing shall spring forth speedily! Thus, it is very important how I see myself.

Yes, I would love an instant healing; I’ve had wonderful touches from the Lord that sustains me and I will continue seeking prayer for healing.

But something tells me that this is a ‘self-coaching’ job involving appropriating Scripture in my heart before seeing it on the outside. And meanwhile, as a concequence, it’s amazing what God is doing to set me free in other areas of my life. Maybe this is all part of my healing!

If you feel Coaching could help you in your journey of Christian healing, I would be happy to give you a FREE Coaching Session so as you can guage how effective it may be for you.

Prosperity Gospel. “Promises In The Bible”

With the Economy suffering the effects of overheating, I realise that I been been spending not only my money in excess but have been ‘spending’ my words in excess too!

The senseless greed that has been driving me to buy more or less whatever I want has been driving me to ‘SAY’ more or less whatever I want! If it ‘pops into my mind’ then I’ll say it. (Often with dire consequences!)

The Bible says that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. So the question I have to ask myself is ‘What is in my heart?’
Well, I guess the truth is there is a mixture of good stuff and bad stuff! There is a good deposit of God’s Word; and there is a deposit of the bad stuff of the world and the flesh – which is all fear-based!

Each moment of my waking day I have a choice to speak either good or bad – ‘life or death,’- as the Bible puts it.

So, now I see clearly the effects of drawing from a bankrupt financial economy, I am jolted into considering the effects of overdrawing from my bankrupt economy of the Word of God. Do I have enough of the life of God in me to weather these turbulent times?

I have come to the decision that NOW is the time to invest in the inflation busting, powerful and life-giving Word of God – not only to ‘weather the storms’ of life’s ups and downs but to prosper ‘in any situation and any economy. God’s Word is the only economy that will never go bust!

Perhaps you’d like to speak out and meditate on these Scriptural Promises, until they become part of your very being.

“Delight yourself in the Lord; and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” Ps. 37:4

“Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.” Ps. 68:19

“That I may cause those that love Me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.” Prov. 8:21

“But seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Mt. 6:33

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:6

“Let the Lord be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” Ps. 35:27b

“That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.” Prov. 8:21

“Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your should prospers.” 111 Jn. 2

I hope you have a happy and prosperous New Year.
