I am Healed through Jesus!

Jesus took the blame and the shame for my sins – on my behalf! He died for me, the death that I should have died – such were my sins!

But how I have struggled with this truth. It’s like being handed an incredibly expensive luxury vehicle free of charge (An Aston Martin please Lord!) which is a totally unearned, undeserved and an unexpected favour. ‘A Gift out of the blue!’ You might say.

Christian Life Coaching

So when it comes to my body being sick, can I really accent the gift of Jesus’ atoning work on the Cross?  Jesus Himself took my sickness upon Himself? On my behalf.

There’s no way I can accept it Unless… I renew my mind to the truth that makes me free!

I need to meditate in my heart upon the truth. I begin to ‘see’ in my heart the promise of God’s healing grace working in my body.

The Bible tells us – ‘For as he thinks in his heart so is he..’ (Prov.23:7)

The imagination has a powerful role in bringing forth God’s promises of Grace, through faith in Jesus, the Word.

Imagine that!

How to Receive Your Christian Miracle

From the Bible’s perspective, miracles are gracious and mighty works of God that display his unique power and dominion over all creation. They are “gracious” because God in his mercy chooses to reveal himself supernaturally in a way that displays his willingness to interact with mankind.

Biblical miracles serve to authenticate God’s messengers. Some miracles demonstrate God’s salvation, others his judgment.

But right now you are probably wondering how to receive your miracle of healing or miracle of financial provision, etc. You may relate to my own experience of receiving a miracle below.

Testimony: When I became a Christian I began smoking cigarettes like I’d never smoked before. I was virtually chain-smoking. I did everything to quit smoking. I’d buy a pack if 20 cigarettes, smoke them one after the other than get so angry with myself I’d flush half the packet down the toilet. 30 minutes later, Id leave my Apartment and walk to the local ‘All Night’ Store and smoke cigarettes one after the other. I was frantic with shame, terribly un-healthy and fearful.

One night, again smoking one cigarette after the other I prayed for deliverance (for the 10th time that month) and right there in the quietness of night I suddenly received my miracle. In a moment I was free. Every thing went quiet and I knew I was delivered of nicotine addiction! Twenty years later I’m still totally free. Praise God.

I have no Spiritual formula other than to say that Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you. Just keep praying, seeking and expecting your miracle. It is on its’ way!

Everything is Beautiful

“He has made everything beautiful in its time” Ecclesiastes 3:11

Beautiful Whale

Beautiful Whale

Imagine seeing only the best in people, the best in situations and the best in life!!

Imagine seeing the whole of life through the eyes of Jesus; seeing the world as His redeemed Creation.

How He loves everyone; each of us made in His image and His likeness. How He took upon Himself the terrible effects of the Curse and the Fall, so that we might see and know only God’s Beauty and Love!

Yes, God hates sin in its’ every wicked manifestation. But His heart response is to lay all sin and the punishment for sin onto His Dear Son Jesus, so that we may see only His Beauty and Redemption.

God is so eager, it seems; so willing ‘to turn the other cheek’ where sin is concerned that He wants only to see the potential for goodness in your life.

To try illustrate this point, I remember many years ago watching from a distance a Whale washed up on the beach close to where I used to live.

It was a surreal scene for sure; and highly disturbing! It did however tell another story.

From my position, quite a distance from the whale, the scene had a tangible beauty. With the sunlight shimmering like cut glass on the mill-like calm of the retreating tide; the great body of the grey whale lay majestic-like in its’ ceremonious final destination.

Many people gathered at a respectful distance from the Whale; some with hands clasped over their mouth and yet others visibly crying!

When finally the ‘Authorities’ arrived, they drew great leather straps under the Whale and pulled it solemnly in to deeper water.

Streams of blood flowed into the gentle lapping of waves, and the whole scene was as though bathed in a silvery grey and red as we approached dusk.

It was truly a beautiful scene; one of love triumphing over evil! BUT how can something so tragic be so beautifull?

Humbled by the reverence of loosing one of God’s giants of the sea, I retreated with a heavy heart to the car park. I sat in the car wiping tears from my eyes; not so much for the loss of one God’s mighty creatures; but for the magnificence of our Heavenly Father who is so utterly and extravagantly beautiful. It seems He just cannot help redeeming any experience so as to reveal His Glory!

Your life and my life is beautiful and valuable to God the Father. No matter what we’ve done or who you are, He has made provision for each of us all know only His pure Love.

Even though we may at times feel our life is ‘all washed up’ we can be certain that Jesus has taken all the hurts, horrors and torments of our life upon Himself. So that when we confess Him as Lord and Saviour, He turns our darkness and fear into a scene of true beauty. Just like the picture of the Whale, so God will radiate beauty from your life.

Christian Healing for CFS

Geoffrey Booth
I’d like to share with you where I’m at with my Christian Healing related to CFS, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or M.E.

Rather than dwell on the disease, I have ‘painted a picture’ in my heart of who I am according to what God says about me in His Word.

No, this is not New Age psycho-babble; but Scriptural. Please stick with me.

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success…” (Joshua 1:8)

The word ‘meditate’ involves imagining or dwelling in my heart inwardly. It is, in effect, visualising what God says about me is true: Who I am, What I can do, and How much He loves me. This is Hope!

The Bible tells me that: “For as he thinks in his heart so is he.” This word ‘thinks’ refers, again, to dwelling upon, visualising or imagining – by grace through faith in Christ Jesus.

I guess I could say it has taken years of imagining fears, hurts, and bitterness in my own life – maybe in the generations too (the effects of sin and the Fall) resulting in sickness and disease. It stands a good chance it will take time to change it.

But as the above Scripture tells me, as I do meditate (or imagine) in my heart upon what God says about me, then the ‘picture’ on the inside changes from sickness to prosperity. So that, from out of my heart-believing prosperity I will have good success on the outside. In other words, it’s an inside-out job; God’s life in; God’s life out!

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,” (Hebrews 11:1)

Hope refers, again, to dwelling upon inwardly: visualising or imagining. I am to cast down imaginations that do not conform to what God say’s about me and to replace them with His thoughts towards me: thoughts of peace: to give me a hope and a future.

It takes hope first for faith to work – faith working by love.

Meanwhile, I refuse evil imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. And, as the Bible says, my healing shall spring forth speedily! Thus, it is very important how I see myself.

Yes, I would love an instant healing; I’ve had wonderful touches from the Lord that sustains me and I will continue seeking prayer for healing.

But something tells me that this is a ‘self-coaching’ job involving appropriating Scripture in my heart before seeing it on the outside. And meanwhile, as a concequence, it’s amazing what God is doing to set me free in other areas of my life. Maybe this is all part of my healing!
